I have white milk coming out of my exhaust pipe but I don’t see it mixing in my oil pan when I check my oil

I just had my transmission rebuilt car been sitting up for about 9 months just put the transmission back in and now I have a white milky looking old and white smoke coming out my exhaust pipe but when I checked my oil is not mixing up there by the motor my check engine light is on and I got that check and they said change or clean out the EGR and I changed it and cleaned it out because before I had the white smoke and the white oil it was pumping out a lot of gas and white smoke out of the exhaust I clean that and put it back on now I have a white milky substance and and smoke coming out my ex
Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
In most cases, the white smoke is an indicator of coolant finding a way into the combustion chamber. This could happen through a damaged head gasket or a crack in the cylinder head or engine block. Most of the time, this would also be followed by milky oil or overheating problems. However, it could also be a problem with the EGR system, or an extremely rich fuel trim. The best thing to do is have a professional mobile mechanic complete a smoke coming from exhaust inspection, so they can pinpoint the source of your issues and recommend a repair.

White smoke coming out of your exhaust suggests that coolant or water has inadvertently entered the combustion chamber. When it`s burned within the block, it produces thick white smoke that exits through the exhaust.
Water condensation in the car engine

Water vapor and other exhaust gasses are normal byproducts of the internal combustion process, and they are removed from your engine through the exhaust pipe while your engine is running. As your engine cools, the water vapor mixes with the exhaust gasses to form water condensation.

The milky residue on an engine cap is the product of engine oil mixing with water or moisture. It`s that simple.
White smoke coming from the exhaust usually points to one point of failure: the injectors. Usually, white smoke indicates that the diesel fuel is not burning correctly. Unburned diesel fuel will make its way through the exhaust completely unused. Be careful of white smoke as it will irritate your eyes and skin.
DEF is usually clear, but when it comes into contact with copper or brass it will appear “light blue,” and if it comes into contact with steel or galvanized steel, it will appear to be a “rusty” color. DEF is heavier than diesel fuel and oil, so these fluids will float on top of the DEF. It has a slight ammonia smell.
Motor oil turns milky brown when its been contaminated by water. Most vehicle coolant systems use a blend of water and antifreeze – and if the coolant system is allowed to leach into the engine oil, that tells us that an engine gasket has failed.
Dangers of Milky Oil

Milky oil can cause significant engine wear and damage in the following ways: Corrosion: Corrosion can cause moisture to enter the system and produce milky oil, which can then produce rust. Rust corrosion can accelerate engine wear, reduce performance and eventually cause engine failure.

One possible reason for white smoke coming from your car`s exhaust is that the engine is burning oil. This can happen if the oil level in the engine is low or if the oil seal is leaking. If you notice that your car is burning oil, you should take it to a mechanic to have it checked out.
Leaking Coolant – If you see white smoke under the hood, it`s most likely burning coolant that has come into contact with the hot components beneath your hood. This smoke will smell sweet.
White smoke usually means coolant is getting into the combustion chambers of your vehicle. This generally happens because of a cracked or leaking head gasket, which allows coolant to seep into your cylinders. In extreme cases, you will need to replace your head gasket.
If your car has an exhaust leak, it is not something you want to take lightly. The performance of your vehicle will be hindered. More importantly, it can potentially be deadly for you and your passengers if carbon monoxide and other harmful fumes are leaking inside the vehicle.
What Should I Do If I See White Smoke Coming From The Exhaust? It`s recommended that you stop driving your car. Driving when you see an outpouring of exhaust smoke can cause your car to overheat due to a coolant leak. This could severely damage many engine parts.
Light or thin white exhaust smoke is typically water vapor. You`ll notice it the first time you start your car, especially if it`s a cold day. This happens because condensation naturally collects in the exhaust system. Light or thin white exhaust smoke is common in vehicles.

lost all oil pressure, replaced the oil pump, low oil sensor, oil pressure sensor, oil pan gasket,
ANSWER : The fuel pump will not stay on if you loose oil pressure. This is why it is shutting off. The loss of oil pressure may be from bad crankshaft bearings or camshaft bearings. The engine oil pan should be removed and the oil pump needs to be checked to ensure that you put in the pick up tube seal to the pump and connected the pump to the block. Then remove at least one main bearing cap and inspect the bearings for excessive wear and crankshaft damage. If you need some help with this, consider YourMechanic, as a certified technician can help diagnose the issue with your oil pressure firsthand and help you fix it accordingly.

Low oil pressure light comes on when idle. Check engine light is on as well. Both came on after getting an oil change 3 days ago.
ANSWER : It is possible that they put in the wrong viscosity oil. In rare instances, a defective filter will also cause low pressure. If there is too much oil, it will aerate and cause low pressure. Be sure the oil level is really not above "max". The P2187 code will appear if the oil fill cap is not tight but it will also appear due to a myriad of causes because that code only "generally" identifies a lean running condition. Consequently, numerous parts would have to be tested including the O2 sensor, gas cap seal, manifold air leaks, any vacuum leak anywhere including PCV and EVAP systems, exhaust leaks, and fuel system faults such as failing fuel pump, clogged filter and more. Since the car has relatively low mileage, you would not expect a failed oil pump, although the pressure sensor (or switch) could be bad. However, the occurrence of the oil pressure warning light is quite coincidental to the oil change, thus I would suggest bringing the car back and asking them to redo with a new filter and double check the viscosity of the new oil that they use. If the problem persists after that, you will have to test actual operating oil pressure (at idle for instance) as well as the oil pressure switch. Finally, if the oil pressure warning light comes on continuously, unless the warning circuit itself is malfunctioning, that means the oil pressure is too low to operate the engine without damaging it. Anytime the light comes on for more than literally an instant, you should shut down the car and thus an issue like this obviously has to be repaired.

If you’d like, a YourMechanic certified mechanic can come to your home or place of business to inspect the vehicle and perform an oil pressure light is on inspection to diagnose the vehicle and suggest potential repairs.

Oil was leaking, put in over 4 qts of oil and oil leak stopper. White smoke coming tailpipe, engine shakes, car dies. Oil leaking.
ANSWER : Oil additives are not recommended by any vehicle manufacturer for any reason. Additives that purport to resolve oil leaks are useless, a waste of your money, and may result in engine damage. Every vehicle manufacturer strongly recommends against use of these materials. There is only one recommended and approved repair strategy when it comes to oil leaks: fix the leak.

You can only add the manufacturer specified amount of oil to an engine. If you add too much oil, or too little oil, that will cause engine damage. You should check the engine oil dipstick to determine if there is presently too much oil in the engine. If there is too much, the excess will have to be removed to prevent engine damage.

The leak that you are referring to can be repaired if you request an oil leak diagnostic. If you have further questions or concerns as you decide what to do, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic because we want you to make the most of your repair dollars and help you get the best possible results.

Stop car check oil warning
ANSWER : This light will usually come on when one of two things are happening. Either the motor is in fact low on oil or the oil pressure sending unit is not working properly and may be producing a faulty reading. I would recommend first, to check the actual oil level in the motor by using the dipstick. Be sure the oil level reaches the "full" mark. If this registers as "full" then you likely have a faulty oil pressure sending unit. I would recommend having an expert from YourMechanic come to your location to take a look at your vehicle to determine what may be causing your low oil pressure light to come on.

A mechanic at sears auto center told me I had a oil pan leak. But i have not seen any oil leak from under my car. He recommende
ANSWER : Oil leaks should be repaired because leaking oil can damage external engine components such as rubber motor mounts. If you want the source of the oil leak identified and the repair estimated, simply request an oil leak diagnostic. Your vehicle has an engine oil maintenance reminder system to let you know when it’s time to change the engine oil and filter. The allowed interval for oil changes depends on your unique driving habits and can be up to, but not more than, one year. If you haven’t driven the vehicle a lot, don’t needlessly worry about having gone perhaps 2-3 years without the required oil change. It is critical though, at this juncture, to change the oil and filter immediately. Synthetic oil is recommended. If you desire that this maintenance be performed by a certified Mechanic, dispatched by YourMechanic right to your location, please request an engine oil/filter change and the responding mechanic will get this resolved for you. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic.

2006 Ford Escape oil pan is sweating, is it the gasket or is it the pan?
ANSWER : Well I’m not sure about the mechanic’s use of terms. If the oil pan is "sweating" oil, then that would dictate that the oil pan is already porous. It’s not an everyday thing to happen but I have seen it a time or two. It generally happens in regions that have harsh winters and lots of road salts are used. The oil pan rusts through and begins to seep, or sweat, oil. Without seeing myself, I really can’t say whether it’s the pan itself or just the gasket. Either way, the oil pan has to be removed to replace the gasket. So if it actually turned out to be a leaking pan, it’s just the cost of the replacement oil pan.added to the repair. The labor is no different.
Differentials generally use gear oil of different weights depending on the application. Diff fluid is basically a very thick oil so it would generally appear as dirty oil on the ground if it’s leaking.
