Why does my ABS lights in dash come on after driving for a while on my 2011 Hyundai Sonata

The passenger side front suspension was changed and since then the ABS and traction control dash lights come on after driving the car for a while. Starting the car they come on and reset but after driving for a while they come on and stay on. I notice a clicking sound on the right side of the car, sounds like a relay opening and closing or like a wire tapping the chassis while driving (but can't find any being loose). This sound stops when the dash ABS lights come on. I also think I have noticed a jitter (occasionally) on the brake pedal before the lights come on. Diagnostic test with the

Hello. If this issue has occurred ever since the work was done then I would suspect that there is something that was not installed correctly. If you are getting noise also then the ABS wheel speed sensor may be contacting the tone ring which will cause all of these issues. It may also be a bearing that is bad which will cause this. Prior to changing anything the computer needs to be scanned for codes to see what comes up. I would also make sure that all of the tires are the same size as one different tire will cause the readings to be off. How to Identify and Fix Common car Problems ?

Four Reasons Your Anti-lock Brake System Light Can Come On

The four common reasons that typically cause this light to turn on include a malfunctioning ABS module, low levels in the fluid reservoir, broken wheel speed sensors, or the system is turned off.

ABS is malfunctioning: Traction control and ABS (anti-lock braking system) often share the same control module and internal self-diagnostics system. As a result, sometimes an issue in the ABS can trigger the traction control light. If this is the case, then both the ABS and Traction Control lights will be on.
If your ABS light comes on individually, you are safe to drive your car to your destination, as your normal brakes will still work. You will, of course, have to be more careful as your ABS will not respond in case of an emergency.
When your car`s ABS light comes on, it means there is a problem with your vehicle`s braking system. You need to address this issue; otherwise, it could make your car unsafe to drive. ABS is a type of braking system used in all cars produced since Sept. 1, 2011.
Faulty ABS systems can behave erratically, pumping your brakes even under normal driving conditions, and producing strange clicking noises, even when the brakes aren`t engaged. If you notice any of these random clicking sounds or lock-ups, it`s quite possible that your ABS module needs to be replaced.
If the TCS and the ABS warning lights both come on, along with the red main brake warning light, you should not drive the car until the problem has been fixed. Your entire braking system is affected, and may not be able to stop your vehicle when you need it to. Have your vehicle towed to a repair shop.
When the warning light is on, it could mean that a sensor has gone bad or needs cleaning. It could mean that the module has gone bad. A steady warning light indicates a problem that may affect your safety. A blinking light is a warning that your safety may be endangered if you drive.
Yes, in a somewhat indirect way. As we`ve mentioned, your car`s ABS light can be triggered by low brake fluid. Worn brake pads deplete your brake fluid. By doing this, they can trigger your car`s ABS light.
One reason your vehicle`s ABS light is on is because it may be sensing abnormally low levels of brake fluid. You`ll be able to notice if your brake fluid is low by the way your car brakes.
A soft brake pedal generally indicates a hydraulic issue with the brake system. If the hydraulic system has a leak or a faulty seal in components such as the brake master cylinder of ABS pump, the brake system will not operate with the correct pressure.
If both your ABS Light and brake system light come on, this is an emergency and you need to stop driving right away. Have your entire brake system inspected by a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic.

Sometimes the ABS warning light may illuminate even when your brakes work fine. This often means that the hardware that makes up your braking system is working well. The problem may lie with the sensors that activate the antilock braking system.

Why does my ABS lights in dash come on after driving for a while on my 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Abs light, emergency brake light, steering wheel assist light, engine light, EPC light, traction control light
ANSWER : Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle does utilize a lot of the same sensors for these systems. Are there any other codes that are coming up when this code appears? If so you will want to take these into consideration when processing the repair and making a diagnosis. The module may be bad, and replacing it should fix the problem. The lights should turn off once the main computer recognizes the new module and the sensors sync up. If you believe the sensors need to be cleaned you may do so. Do as minimal as possible to make sure you are not damaging the sensor or disrupting the wiring inside. A bad connection would make the lights stay on. With so many lights that are effected by the module being illuminated, the module is likely bad or does not have a connection. Check the connection first and then resort to replacing the unit. Battery light goes on when I start car then turns off, if I rev engine light comes back until rpms go down. Abs goes comes on/off
ANSWER : Batteries can die due to faults in the charging system so ideally a suspected "faulty" battery should be load tested before a decision is made to condemn it. The only exception to this rule is if the battery is already clearly "old" (greater than 5 years) but even then once you put a new battery in, as a replacement for a "dead" battery, you have to comprehensively check out the charging system. Diagnostic Trouble Code P0460 will result in disruption of the dashboard fuel gauge’s ability to accurately report your tank’s fuel levels. The fuel gauge readings may be erratic, or read somewhere off scale. Vehicles equipped with a low fuel warning light feature may also suffer from erratic low fuel warnings in the event of a code P0460. Unless the P0460 code has been reported alongside other trouble code, all of the vehicle’s essential systems should otherwise function normally. I would recommend that you request a check engine light diagnostic to first resolve the fault causing the P0460 code to set. The check gas cap light warning light could be due a faulty gas cap and/or small leaks in the EVAP system.

No dash lights, back right tail light is out, no parking lights. Brake lights work though as does head lights.
ANSWER : Hi there. In many cases, when you have electrical problems like you’re describing, it’s caused by multiple electrical component failure. It’s likely that a few electrical relays are not working; especially if you have systems that utilize the same components (such as your brake light and tail lights). I would recommend having a professional mobile mechanic come to your location to complete an electrical problems inspection first, so they can pinpoint what is damaged and recommend the right repairs.

Battery light coming and and assisted steering fault on dash and abs amber light
ANSWER : Hi there. It sounds like you have a failed alternator. The alternator is used to maintain the battery charge and provide electrical support to the electrical system. Its output can vary depending on the electrical load placed on the system; ac, blower motor, headlights, etc. Have the alternator tested at idle and under load to determine if the voltage/amps are not within specifications; replace as necessary. Also have the battery tested with a digital battery tester that provides current voltage, cold cranking amps, and state of health. Replace the battery if needed. If the battery tests ok, then recharge the battery before starting the car with the new alternator. Not having a fully charged battery can present an undue load on the new alternator’s internal voltage regulator and shorten the life of the new alternator. I suggest having a qualified technician perform an inspection to avoid replacing unnecessary parts. Your Mechanic has several technicians available that can assist you with an electrical problems inspection.

ABS light comes on while driving. Also traction control light comes on while driving,
ANSWER : The ABS and Traction control use sensors located in the tire area. There are hub bearings that are paired with sensors operation. The clunk sound could be some type of wear that needs to be look at as soon as possible. Scan tool is going to be needed to read data from the ABS module to determine the fault with the system. This issue could be electrical and mechanical. I recommend having a certified professional, like one from YourMechanic, inspect the warning light in person to assist with a repair.

My brake lights and dash brake light come on while driving.
ANSWER : These types of warning lights will generally store a fault code in one or more of the vehicles control modules. The warning lights you are getting may be the result of a faulted brake pedal position sensor or wheel speed sensors. Further diagnosis will be necessary to determine the exact cause. Consider hiring an experienced technician like one from YourMechanic who can come out for a closer look and offer a more personal diagnosis of your warning lights.
