the left front air suspension dropped, No codes, compressor works. Bag fills but not enogu to lift

My LF corner dropped. Air compressor works, no codes, high sensor is connected. The air bad appeared to be flat. I jacked up the corner and took opff the tire, then started the vehicle. The bag aired up, but not as "hard" as the rf. I sparyed the bag down with soapy water but didn't hear any leaks. I assume it's the selenoid or the orings.

My car has an automatic transmission.

Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
You have great diagnostic skills! In addition to the components you have listed, it’s also possible the air line to that corner has a leak, or the solenoid itself has a leak. Unfortunately, this is a chronic problem with model – causing many to abandon the air suspension, and revert to traditional spring/strut packages. If you’d like, YourMechanic can dispatch a certified professional mechanic to your location to perform a Suspension system inspection and repairs.

How to Identify and Fix Common car Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced mechanics :

Turn the ignition to the ON position, close all doors and clear warnings. Select the SETUP control function on the message center. Select the AIR SUSPENSION function to display the current status of the air suspension system. Press the RESET control to turn the air suspension OFF or ON.
One of the easiest ways to check for leaking air struts, springs, or solenoids is to shut off the air suspension via the air suspension switch, which is often located either in the trunk or on the right side of the passenger foot well, and leave the vehicle sitting overnight.
When air suspension fails, you`ll know it. The most likely first symptoms are a lower, sagging ride height, or the selectable ride settings that no longer function. Other symptoms include a rougher, noisier ride, and sloppy handling through corners and over bumps.
Sagging suspension, poor performance, and longer air up times are all signs that your air suspension system is leaking. You may also hear a leak when your air suspension is aired up, and the air is escaping from one of your components.
The main purpose of the ride height sensors for the air suspension system is to provide the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) with information on the height position of the vehicle body.
A bad compressor or solenoid must be replaced, but damaged air lines can be repaired by splicing. One of the leading causes of compressor failure is air leaks (usually in the air springs or lines).
The single most common air suspension control system issue we deal with is poor voltage to the ECU or compressors. Typically this is caused by either poor grounds or a low battery.
An air compressor problem could stem from one of many issues, such as an air leak, an oil leak or a broken part. In some cases, you might have insufficient pressurization or air flow. In other cases, the compressor might fail to start up or stop running as prompted.
From time to time after installation it is not uncommon for the air suspension modules to be leaking and irreparably damaged. Usually, this is due to errors during the repair. If air suspensions do not appear to be completely tight after a repair or are apparently quite leaky, this can have very simple reasons.
An easy check is the bounce test. Simply push your entire weight down on your car`s bonnet. Release and count the number of times the car bounces. If it bounces more than three times, then there is a problem with your shock absorbers or struts.
If the vehicle sags at one corner or side, the easiest way to diagnose the air suspension problem is to put the vehicle on a lift and do a visual inspection of the air struts and springs, the ride height sensors, air lines and connections and the compressor (Figure 5).
Air Suspension Warning Light

The air suspension light means the vehicle`s inner computer believes there is abnormal activity. It will most likely appear if the compressor does not provide the amount of air it should. It is not recommended to drive with this light on.

the left front air suspension dropped, No codes, compressor works. Bag fills but not enogu to lift
ANSWER : You have great diagnostic skills! In addition to the components you have listed, it’s also possible the air line to that corner has a leak, or the solenoid itself has a leak. Air compressors and air suspension fail
ANSWER : This is a common fault that is found with vehicles that have air suspension. Though the compressors were most likely bad the first time, there is another problem causing them to fail. The most common would be a leak in the system or a failed air strut.

When the strut fails or a leak is present, it can cause the air compressors to never shut off as they try to compensate for the leak which causes them to fail prematurely. A qualified technician, such as one from YourMechanic, will be able to inspect your suspension system and make a proper diagnosis on the issue.

Air conditioning not working in the front of my SUV
ANSWER : My guess is that the refrigerant level is low (from a leak somewhere) or there is a problem with the AC pressure cut out switch. The control module will cut power to the AC compressor if it determines the system does not have the correct pressure due to a low refrigerant level.

Disconnecting the battery probably temporarily reset the control module. There may or may not be codes stored in the HVAC system to aid with diagnosis.

You should be able to wiggle the large fuse out with your bare hands or gently remove it with a pair of pliers.

Finally, I do not think any of this has to do with the oil change that was performed.

Air suspension valve not working pump works but no air comes out of valve to struts
ANSWER : If air is getting to the valve but not coming out, odds are yes the valve is bad. Unfortunately there is no rebuilding kit for them. It most likely will have to be replaced then the entire system will need to be checked for any other leaks or faults.

The air suspension system has stopped working.
ANSWER : A couple of things may be at fault. Generally if a air-suspension equipped vehicle is sitting low, there is a leak in the air suspension system. Since your vehicle is sitting low in the front, then odds are there is a leak in one of the front struts or in the lines to the front suspension. What frequently happens is due to the leak, the air pump for the suspension will run constantly, trying to raise/level the vehicle. These pumps are generally not designed for constant running. It is possible that the air pump has failed due to that. A few things will happen. Even if the front air struts are not the cause of the leak, the vehicle sitting low for an extended period can and usually does, damage the struts beyond repair or use. So at this point, you may be looking at replacing the air struts and the air pump, then the system being traced for leaks.
A certified technician should inspect the air suspension as soon as possible to find what is exactly wrong. You should avoid driving the vehicle as to not damage more suspension or air ride components.

I have a front right air suspension problem. The air strut will not raise when the car starts up.
ANSWER : This suspension system on your vehicle uses hydraulic fluid that supports the vehicle and different valves to control the active suspension. The right front unit showing any signs of leakage on the boot should be replaced. This vehicle may be involved in a suspension recall for defective front strut knuckles, and should be checked at a dealer by having them run the VIN number to see if it is a covered repair under the recall. The interior clock may just be a defective clock. The manual suspension button may be inoperative if there is a fault in the system like you have. If you would like an independent mechanic to check this, consider YourMechanic, as a certified technician can come to your home or office to inspect your suspension and let you know what needs repair.

’08 Nav Needing Air Suspension Help
ANSWER : It is possible that you could have a restriction in the line that goes from the compressor to the rear air spring. This resriction would prevent the air from reaching the air spring. I would recommend dis connecting the line at the compressor and at the air bag and shooting compressed air through the line to make sure it is not restricted. If something comes out of the line, you should be able to reconnect the lines and the air suspension system should work properly again.

Front fan is not blowing any air just stop working. I turned the air on and heard a popping sound. Rear is working blowing cold
ANSWER : It’s possible the blower motor, or possibly just the blower resistor block, has failed. To determine which of these (or other) possibilities are involved, please request a fan/blower motor diagnostic and the responding certified mechanic will get this taken care of for you. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.
