On the passenger side of my car, the brake light, front and rear turn signal are not working. The headlight and tail light are fine.

My car has 180000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
Hi there:

Usually when one side of the vehicle is having electrical issue; especially if they are ancillary lights such as brake lights, and turn signals; it’s typically attributed to an electrical short or damaged relay from the fuse box. However, trying to trace and diagnose these issues can be very tricky and time consuming task to trace, so you might want to have a professional mechanic complete an electrical problems inspection; so they can determine what is faulty and recommend the right repairs be completed.

How to Identify and Fix Common car Problems ?

Your MINI recognises this too. Accordingly, the Adaptive LED Headlights automatically illuminate the lateral areas more strongly. On the motorway, however, your gaze is mainly directed forward. Consequently, the headlights automatically adjust the headlight range – the beam becomes narrower and longer.
The ABS Light stands for the “anti-lock braking system“. This important feature of the Mini makes sure the wheels have traction with the road while the driver brakes. This ensures the wheels don`t lock and lack motion. Usually, when this light comes in there is an electrical hinderance within the wheel sensor.
DSC. The DSC is a suspension control system that encompasses the steering wheel movement, vehicle speed, acceleration, and yaw. The system will monitor these to notify you of instability while cornering.
All vehicles fitted with halogen headlight bulbs from the factory are suitable for LED conversion. The main advantage is a massive increase in road illumination and therefore improved safety when driving at night. The kit I used features CREE LED bulbs that have an output of 3,200 lumens.
The short answer is no. You can`t use LED replacement bulbs (if you can find them) to replace traditional mini lights on a traditional light string. It may seem like a good idea, cost-effective and simple. However, the wiring for your classic lights is different and unsuitable to handle LEDs.
If the warning light comes on while you are driving, it means the ABS is not working properly. Your brakes will still work, but the ABS might not engage if you need to make an emergency stop. If the light remains on, you need to have a mechanic diagnose the ABS light issue as soon as possible.
CARS.COM — ABS stands for antilock braking system, and if the ABS warning light is illuminated in your car`s gauge cluster, that means the antilock system has been deactivated because of a malfunction.
DSC – Dynamic Stability Control – This is always on by default. With Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) your MINI will automatically intervene at the slightest hint of instability and help the vehicle stay on a straight path by adjusting the engine power management system and apply brake force where needed.
Dynamic Traction Control (DTC): You can turn on this mode by pressing the traction control button in your MINI. It is the best mode for bad conditions like snow, sand, or loose gravel. Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC): This mode gives the driver complete control but kicks in when needed most.
AMBIENT LIGHT.

Every MINI includes Interior Ambient Lighting as standard, which lets you set the mood in the cabin.

Making driving at night safer and easier, the MINI Clubman now comes with the MINI High Beam Assistant. This smart feature will automatically adjust your lights if there`s oncoming traffic.
Headlights that register 3,000K or 3,000LM are the brightest headlights you can legally install in your car. Anything beyond that level is typically against the law and you run the risk of blinding another driver and causing an accident.
In order to save on your energy costs, you can replace a halogen bulb directly with an LED bulb. In addition, LED lights last on average around 25 times longer than a halogen bulb. There are various LED lamps that are suitable for replacing halogen lighting.
Swapping out incandescent bulbs for LED light bulbs is the easiest change of all. You don`t need to change the light sockets that you have installed, as the cap on LED light bulbs are compatible with conventional light sockets.
LEDs produce next to no heat, which means they`re always cool to the touch and safe for children and animals to be around all season. LED bulbs produce a brighter more vivid light than traditional incandescent bulbs.
In a car with no ABS, you`ll lock the wheels and steering will be impossible, unless you`re a skilled driver who can, in a stressful situation, manage the brake pressure and unlock the wheels.
Fortunately, if the ABS warning light came on, and no other warning lights are present, the brakes will still work. Just like they would on a car without ABS. But the ABS will not function and will not prevent the wheels from locking up in an emergency or on a slippery road.
In short, changes in the base brake system characteristics (hardware) may impact ABS/TCS/ESP performance in any or all of these three areas.
The ABS or traction control system may be inadvertently activated by these false or inaccurate signals. There is a good chance that during the course of having the tires changed, the wheel sensors may have been bumped or moved causing them to trigger the ABS light to come on.
ABS indicator lamps are amber-colored and marked with the letters “ABS.” They are there to tell you that the ABS is working properly. Know where the ABS indicator lamp is on every vehicle you operate and how to check that it`s working properly.
The most common ABS problems occur when sensors become contaminated with debris or metal shavings. Malfunctions also occur when sensor wiring becomes damaged, resulting in intermittent or no continuity.
What are the 3 available Driving Modes? Their names are pretty self-explanatory: they are called Green, Mid, and, of course, Sport. The latter greatly sharpens the driving characteristics of your MINI – but we`ll talk more about how it works in just a bit.
No danger as long as you can keep control of your vehicle. It`s an “expert” mode. Most of the electronics nannies are off except for ABS. It will let you do lots of fun things like drifting as well as stupid other ones.
The dtc helps you in emergency situation, when a tire or two, especially driven wheels squeal upon heavy acceleration, to keep the vehicle under control. It can be turned on and off. It should be turned off only by skillful drivers who can control the car without the safety equipments.

Abs light, emergency brake light, steering wheel assist light, engine light, EPC light, traction control light
ANSWER : Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle does utilize a lot of the same sensors for these systems. Are there any other codes that are coming up when this code appears? If so you will want to take these into consideration when processing the repair and making a diagnosis. The module may be bad, and replacing it should fix the problem. The lights should turn off once the main computer recognizes the new module and the sensors sync up. If you believe the sensors need to be cleaned you may do so. Do as minimal as possible to make sure you are not damaging the sensor or disrupting the wiring inside. A bad connection would make the lights stay on. With so many lights that are effected by the module being illuminated, the module is likely bad or does not have a connection. Check the connection first and then resort to replacing the unit. No dash lights, back right tail light is out, no parking lights. Brake lights work though as does head lights.
ANSWER : Hi there. In many cases, when you have electrical problems like you’re describing, it’s caused by multiple electrical component failure. It’s likely that a few electrical relays are not working; especially if you have systems that utilize the same components (such as your brake light and tail lights). I would recommend having a professional mobile mechanic come to your location to complete an electrical problems inspection first, so they can pinpoint what is damaged and recommend the right repairs.

2012 equinox reduced power light engine light and traction light came on. Lost a lot of power got home and all light except engine
ANSWER : Your car has what is called a "safe mode" that will be engaged by the computer when it detects that something critical has gone wrong related to any of the major components in your engine chassis or power train. This may be related to a number of things, most of which should have been registered in the computer when the check engine light came on. I recommend having an expert from YourMechanic come to your location to inspect your check engine light and diagnose any codes registered by your vehicle’s computer.

signals, daytime running lights are not working, park brake light on dash is on steady and chime is dinging steady 4×4 wont engage
ANSWER : This is likely a brake light switch problem. I would suggest testing the brake light switch which should be located down by the brake pedal. This may also be a computer problem as well as indicated by the other lights on in the dash. I would recommend having an expert from YourMechanic come to your home to possibly replace the brake light switch and diagnose with a scanning tool which will download useful data from the truck’s computer indicating what specifically the problem may be.

ABS light on, ESP light on,Traction OFF light on, engine light on, rides perfectly OBDI reads only Front Right Wheel Speed Sensor
ANSWER : If a faulty component is still in place, the fault codes will return almost immediately after clearing them. ABS, ESP, and traction control systems all rely on input from wheel speed sensors to determine as the name implies, the speed of each wheel. When a wheel, or wheels are spinning faster than others due to wheel slip or the vehicle is sliding, the ABS and ESP systems can reduce throttle input as well as apply braking to an individual wheel or all of them if needed. With a wheel speed sensor fault code stored, these systems cannot determine the rate that all 4 wheels are spinning and sets a fault. That is why the abs/esp light is on. The system should be scanned by a certified technician and the wheel speed sensor replaced if found to be the cause. The warning lights will stay on and these systems will not function as designed until the fault is corrected. These lights do not come on to indicate a need for routine service. Rather they only come on when a component in the system is at fault.
